The weather has been getting better over the course of April and we've definitely seen an increase in the number of riders taking part in our rides and here is how the competition stands after April 2013!
still leads the mens on 56 points with Jim Brown still close behind on 50. Richard Button is a little way behind the two of them on 43 but it looks like those three are breaking away from the rest of the group.
still leads the ladies competition on 41 points with Elaine Walker not far behind on 34 points and in third place is Jackie Cooper on 29 points.
There's been a change since last month to the juniors where Lauren Higham
is now on 15 points and have broken away from the draw with Sean Browne who now has 12 points with Kieran Higham still holding onto third place with 8 points.

Following the release of the report from the All Party Parliamentary Cycling Committee about getting Britain cycling, an online petition has been setup.

This report has called for the government to act on two points in particular:
- aim for 10% trips by bike by 2025, and 25% by 2050
- £10 per person, per year in funding for cycling
This petition is jointly led by the Times newspaper, Sustrans, the AA, British Cycling and the CTC. You can sign the petition by going to the number 10 website
The possibilities of what can be achieved have already been shown in places such as Cambridge where more than a quarter of all journeys are by bike, this is achievable in the rest of the UK.
